News On 26th July 2009, the STATE/NATIONAL and the WORLD ARCHERY INDOOR Titles were held at the Kingsway Badminton Stadium. Amateur Archery Centre again had several archers entered in various categories. This event is shot over 18 metres with only a 40cm face. Sounds easy...but it isn't! However, this event is usually only for the STATE and NATIONAL Australia Titles but the event coincided with the WORLD Titles as well, so if the archers wanted to see where they rated in the World, the way was open to them. |

The club had 6 archers entered and three went into the "WORLD's" just to see where they stood. The archers were: Roark Anderton and Daniel Freid (Junior Boys Compound); Jason Levett (Open Mens Recurve); Jim Flood and Roy Hickson (Veterans Men Compound) and Harry Hickson (Veteran Mens Crossbow). As the club only has 12 members, that is a pretty good rate of entries. Both Roark and Daniel plus Jim entered the "WORLD's". Well Done all members who entered! |
